Marvin's Building Materials & Home Centers proudly announced the GRAND OPENING of its newest store at 931 US Highway 331in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on Friday, December 2nd! Officials from Marvin's, the city of DeFuniak Springs, and the Walton County Chamber Of Commerce were on hand Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. to participate in the ceremonial "board-cutting" that officially opened the store. Free hot dogs and soft drinks were served up at lunchtime both Friday and Saturday.
Customers were able to take advantage of our convenient features -- including our drive-through outdoor store that makes shopping for lumber, cement, roofing, and plywood easier. They drove into the outdoor store, selected the products they wanted, loaded up, walked inside and paid, then were on their way in a flash.
If you missed out on the events on Friday and Saturday, don't worry -- you can find our ads in the DeFuniak Springs Herald-Breeze, as well as finding our Marvin's circulars in the DeFuniak Springs Herald-Breeze (in the middle of the month) and in local mailboxes as part of your local coupon package (at the end of the month).
We started out in 1945 in Gadsden, Alabama, and since then we have grown to 24 stores in Alabama, Mississippi, and now Florida, with a family of over 500 associates. We hope to have 3 more stores open by the end of next year, so if there's not already a Marvin's in your community there might be soon!
